Defender Sarah Gorden was acquired by Angel City FC of the NWSL through a trade with the Chicago Red Stars on December 2, 2021, after becoming Chicago's first Iron Woman and a 2021 finalist for National Women’s Soccer League Defender of the Year. Since coming to Los Angeles, Gorden has been the backbone of ACFC's defense.

Her personality and accolades made Sarah the perfect fit for a national advertising campaign with team sponsor, Klarna. In her second year representing the brand, Sarah became one of their west coast spokespersons for the buy-now-pay-later company. Sarah completed multiple production shoots with stills and video, along with appearances, dedicated media, fashion collaborations, social media posts, and other items during the deal. Advertising assets used the client’s name, image and likeness, digitally, Out-Of-Home (OOH), in Point-Of-Sale (POS), and other physical forms of brand advertising. If you walked around a mall or other outdoor space in Los Angeles during the 2023 NWSL season, you more than likely spotted Gorden in advertisements. Sarah also activated with Klarna brand partners for the ESPY awards and various red carpet or team tunnel moments for cross collaborative moments.
